Past Projects:
- Designed and partially created a hexapod robotic platform in high school with a friend. We finished building the aluminum frame, etching the PCB, and soldering the components. We didn’t have the resources to buy the solenoids to drive the joints. We still have the hexapod and $40 dedicated to it in Denver, CO.
- Designed and programmed a library of object-oriented data structures for a computer algebra system. The structures themselves simplify the expressions and take care of all the details. Tested the library, but never implemented an actual user interface.
- Designed and programmed a simple neural network library.
- Designed a neural network inspired gait control circuit for a hexapod robot.
- Designed and partially programmed a memory game in Java. The engine is halfway done and the user interface is still text based.
- Installed Linux on my Linksys WRT54G router (Following in the footsteps of others).
Projects on the back-burner:
- Building a microcontroller based music game that is just fun to play with and can be used to teach music theory.
- Porting Linux to a Motorola cell phone (either a V551 or RAZR V3 — this is very hard and I haven’t seen it done before).
- Creating an advanced neural network library that is based on cellular automata. Will allow for several lattice configurations.
- Creating a programming language independent scheme for representing data types, structures, and functions.
- Exploring and writing about a number system that has more than just positive or negative numbers. I have a rough draft of the first paper.
- Exploring and writing about the relation between prime numbers and axioms. I have the rough draft of the first paper.
- Rebuild Linux on my Linksys WRT54G router with the features I want. This would necessitate installing a Smart Card or SD/MMC media reader for extra memory.
- Create a scheme to bring cheap wireless internet to the entire city of Corvallis one home at a time.
- Finish writing the music theory textbook I started writing (I have a 13 page outline).
- Create a computer based education system. I have a rough idea about how this will work. It will require more research and development to arrive at the final stage.

Just saw that you lived in Sac before the base closed. Did your dad work on the base? The same thing happened to my brother ( air force ) before he left to London. I used to live in Corvallis ( 5 years ) until last week. Small world, very cool.
WOW (not world of warcraft either)
